QUESTIONS MOST ASKED BY

BRIDES, GROOMS & PARENTS:

Music for friends and family from 7 to 70.....

Will you be the actual DJ performing the day of the wedding?  If not, will we meet with the actual DJ that will perform at our wedding prior or meet with a coordinator that will send our preferences on to the actual DJ?

The DJ that initially meets with you is your DJ for the event.* We feel it is important to build a repoire with our clients.  If by some chance you don’t feel he/she is the right person we can have you meet with someone else until you find a “good fit” for you. [*Bridal shows: DJs dependent upon bookings]

Do we pay per hour or per block of time?

Our rates are $995.00 up to 5 hours unless otherwise noted (bridal show specials); after 5 hours it is $150.00 per hour.

Can we pick our songs or do we have to pick a type/genre and a pre-set group of songs will be played?

Remember: This is YOUR wedding. Therefore we strongly encourage our clients to select a good portion of the music since you know your friends and family. From those selections we will fill in the rest of the time of music and submit that to you in a “script” form so you actually see the songs prior to the event.

Can we pick more than one type of music to be played throughout the night, perhaps at different times and then change the type of music throughout the evening?

Even though we use the script as our “blueprint” we do take requests as long as it is within the boundaries of your music preferences.  It is more important for us to know what you don’t prefer musically than what you do.

Does the block of time that we reserve include set-up and tear down, or does that occur outside the block of reserved time?

Set-up and Tear down time is included in the package and does not count for the up to 5 hours. For example if your wedding was 6-11 pm we would arrive at 4/4:30 for set up and then it would take about 45 minutes to an hour take down. You are not charged for those times.

How involved will you be with the guests?  Is it possible for us to establish what we want the DJ to facilitate and what will be managed by other coordinators?

Our typical style is to be heard and not seen. We keep the party going without the use of cheesy props or gimmicks. We spend the cocktail hour and dinner hour reading the crowd. Each DJ has over 15 years experience as a wedding DJ. We work for you so you determine the level of activity you want from your DJ.

Is there a travel fee involved for weddings outside the triangle area?

We pride ourselves on our destination weddings. We have performed from New York City to OrlandoFla. Some of our regular (and favorite) destinations are: Nags Head, Emerald Isle, Wilmington NC, Myrtle Beach & Charleston SC, Asheville, the Biltmore Estate just to name a few. Each destination is different therefore rates are adjusted based on the location. The performance rates do not increase as compared to most other DJ companies.  It is actually cheaper to hire us to perform in CharlestonSC than to hire their top 5 wedding DJ companies in the area!

What other services/products/techniques do you offer beyond the music as part of a music package or in addition? What is your pricing for these services?

We offer Day of Coordination for those brides needing that extra “helping hand” on your special day. We also offer sound for ceremonies, karaoke services, rehearsal music and entertainment. You can check out our website for those prices atwww.streetworkdjs.com
